- This interview summary was conducted on April 25, 2021 with the Samandin Naaba of Ouagadougou. During the discussions, participants exchanged views on the choice of actors designated to deliver customary justice, the model of punishment instituted, and the forms of punishment in relation to gender and social class. Participants also discussed popular perceptions of these forms of punishment, as well as collaboration between the two bodies (customary and modern), and the perception of traditional justice by modern justice.

- This interview looks at the various forms of circulation of knowledge and models of punishment of adolescents/youth in pre- and post-colonial societies. The circulation of these forms of knowledge and models of punishment are often relayed by contemporary legal institutions such as gendarmeries, police forces and courthouses in Burkina Faso.
